After taiso, we had sensei watch our basic suburi and then performed uchikomi. Every few minutes sensei would see something, step in and give us corrections, tips, and demonstrate correct and incorrect ways of hitting. I was proud one thing, he harped on the same things Matsuura and I harp on every week. He saw the flaws in the students immediately, and mentioned them.

This is just a good spacious shot of our dojo. Sensei was working on our suri ashi footwork, he gave us a corner to corner drill to do. Expect to see this drill the next 2 months, A LOT!   We need to be much smoother in our footwork.

We took sensei to our favorite Sunday night haunt. They looked at us weird....never seen us there on a Wednesday........the "Hunt Club".

 

  After some good food and conversation, we learned that sensei thinks that we haven't done too bad by our students. He thinks they are pretty good. Not all were there because of  the short notice. The next time sensei comes down we'll have it planned ahead of time, and we'll have him check our kata also.
