We started the demo with Bronson Diffin and myself performing the first six kata from ZNKR seitei iai, and I gave them a short lecture on the history of the Japanese sword arts, explaining the way it has evolved from the type of practices depicted in the move "Last Samurai" which they had just finished watching. |

Bob Mack and I performed kendo no kata, but only the first seven kata. Time constraints |

We finished with about 2-3 minutes of free-sparring (jiyu geiko) with a lot of spirit, loud kiai etc. Then off to the bar to enjoy ourselves with our host, Mr. Yoshida. |
